FAQ

Is Greek Life really like it’s portrayed in the movies?

The answer to that question is a resounding NO!!! Most of the stereotypes about fraternity and sorority members are myths. Our organization is not elitist, and welcome women from all walks of life into our group.

Does it take up a lot of time?

We generally expect our pledges to contribute 2-8 hours a week to Sorority life. It is often said, however, that how much you get out of an experience is directly related to how much you put into it. This is true of the Greek experience as well!

Also, remember that Greek time is time well spent, as you will be performing community service projects, participating in awareness seminars, and learning valuable time management skills.

Are only University of Ottawa students allower to join?

No, we accept students from the University of Ottawa, Carleton and Algonquin college.

Is joining a sorority expensive?

Nu Sigma Pi prides herself on having one of the LOWEST DUES ON CAMPUS. Since we are a local organization, you get to see first hand where your money goes!

Your fee includes the cost of your pledge and sorority pins, lettered sweater, and tickets to our annual formal among many other things.
